I lead engineering for a healthcare SaaS platform serving over 4 million patients across the Netherlands. As Head of Engineering at Health Cloud Initiative, I own the full technology stack across 4 scrum teams — spanning a mission-critical patient portal, a personal health platform, WordPress Multisite, and a next-generation platform currently in development.
Background
My roots are in .NET development (Core & Framework). Over 20+ years I’ve grown from writing the first lines of what became one of the Netherlands’ largest patient portal platforms, to leading the engineering organisation that runs it today.
Philosophy
Open-source first. Trunk-based development. Teams that own their delivery end to end. I believe in building reliable systems where reliability and data ownership aren’t optional — especially in healthcare.
